Sold at the lower estimate price
The work Calligraphy In Running Script by Wang Duo was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in July 2020. The result of HKD 250,000.00 (€ 27,390.86) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 250,000.00 – 400,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Duo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Poems in Cursive Script Calligraphy in May 2011 with an auction result of HKD 32,020,000.00 (€ 2,864,337.79).
