This artwork by Wang Jingwei achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2017. In the Fine Chinese Modern Paintings auction, the work Poem from Shuangzhaolou: To Bingru, on My Journey Through Siberia sold for HKD 125,000.00 (€ 14,273.32) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 70,000.00. Admittedly, works by Wang Jingwei have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Poems Of Shuangzhaolou in May 2019 with an auction result of HKD 1,062,500.00 (€ 121,602.83).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 79 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wang Jingwei erzielte im Mai 2017 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings wurde die Arbeit Poem from Shuangzhaolou: To Bingru, on My Journey Through Siberia für HKD 125.000,00 (€ 14.273,32) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 70.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wang Jingwei auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Poems Of Shuangzhaolou im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.062.500,00 (€ 121.602,83).
