This artwork by Wang Jiqian achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in March 2019. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Landscape sold for USD 40,000.00 (€ 35,625.22) - well above the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Wang Jiqian have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Landscape No. 472 in April 2017 with an auction result of HKD 2,980,000.00 (€ 351,746.67).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 100 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wang Jiqian erzielte im März 2019 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Landscape für USD 40.000,00 (€ 35.625,22) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wang Jiqian auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Landscape No. 472 im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.980.000,00 (€ 351.746,67).
