Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2014 China Guardian in Hong Kong held the auction Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas, which included the work Buddha and Crane by Wang Xijing. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 94,300.00 (€ 9,708.46), 18% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Xijing achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of Yu Youren in April this year with an auction result of HKD 180,000.00 (€ 183,815.22).
