It achieved a price of USD 18,750.00 (€ 16,461.81), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Yuanqi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape Inspired by Huang Gongwang in November 2017 with an auction result of HKD 48,475,000.00 (€ 5,219,068.33).

Die Arbeit Landscape After Huang Gongwang And Dong Qichang von Wang Yuanqi kam im März 2016 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 16.461,81) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Yuanqi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape Inspired by Huang Gongwang im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 48.475.000,00 (€ 5.219.068,33).
