The work Landscape by Weng Tonghe was worth HKD 230,100.00 (€ 26,300.09) to a buyer in October 2019. This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy II at POLY and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 30,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Weng Tonghe - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphic Couplet in Running Script, which sold at auction in November 2017 for HKD 750,000.00 (€ 80,748.87).

Die Arbeit Landscape von Weng Tonghe war einem Käufer im Oktober 2019 HKD 230.100,00 (€ 26.300,09) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy II bei POLY erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 30.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Für andere Arbeiten von Weng Tonghe mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphic Couplet in Running Script beobachtet, die im November 2017 für HKD 750.000,00 (€ 80.748,87) versteigert wurde.
