This artwork by William Callow achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in July 2017. In the Old Master & British Drawings & Watercolours auction, the work The Belfry at Bruges, Belgium sold for GBP 16,250.00 (€ 18,132.50) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Callow - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Dogana, Venice, Sunrise, which sold at auction in December 2015 for GBP 43,750.00 (€ 59,410.40).

In der Auktion Old Master & British Drawings & Watercolours wurde die Arbeit The Belfry at Bruges, Belgium für GBP 16.250,00 (€ 18.132,50) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von William Callow mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Dogana, Venice, Sunrise beobachtet, die im Dezember 2015 für GBP 43.750,00 (€ 59.410,40) versteigert wurde.
