Auction result well in line with expectations

In November last year Bonhams in London held the auction A Focus on William Kentridge, which included the work Casspirs Full of Love, 1989 by William Kentridge. The price achieved of GBP 12,750.00 (€ 14,774.34) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Kentridge achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Procession in March 2013 with an auction result of USD 1,538,500.00 (€ 1,200,452.56).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Im November letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion A Focus on William Kentridge durch, in der auch die Arbeit Casspirs Full of Love, 1989 von William Kentridge zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.750,00 (€ 14.774,34) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Kentridge erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Procession im März 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.538.500,00 (€ 1.200.452,56).
