Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Rochester Castle and Bridge from the River Medway, Kent by William Turner of Oxford was sold in the Old Master & Early British Drawings & Watercolours auction at Christies in London in December 2011. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,239.68) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by William Turner of Oxford have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work An April shower in November 2003 with an auction result of GBP 31,070.00 (€ 44,601.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Rochester Castle and Bridge from the River Medway, Kent von William Turner of Oxford wurde im Dezember 2011 in der Auktion Old Master & Early British Drawings & Watercolours bei Christies in London versteigert.
