Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Jiangnan Scenery by Wu Guanzhong was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction at POLY in Grand Hyatt Hong Kong in April this year. It achieved a price of HKD 372,000.00 (€ 379,884.78), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 24%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wu Guanzhong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Zhou Village in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 236,000,000.00 (€ 26,588,934.53).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Jiangnan Scenery von Wu Guanzhong wurde im April diesen Jahres in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy bei POLY in Grand Hyatt Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 372.000,00 (€ 379.884,78) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 24%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wu Guanzhong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Zhou Village im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 236.000.000,00 (€ 26.588.934,53).
