This artwork by Xie Zhiguang achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2015. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Lady Under The Plantain Leaves; Calligraphy sold for HKD 200,000.00 (€ 23,114.14) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 70,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Xie Zhiguang; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Ladies and Crane sold at auction in November 2016 with the realized price of HKD 375,000.00 (€ 45,696.26).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Xie Zhiguang erzielte im April 2015 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Lady Under The Plantain Leaves; Calligraphy für HKD 200.000,00 (€ 23.114,14) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 70.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Xie Zhiguang; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Ladies and Crane im November 2016 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 375.000,00 (€ 45.696,26).
