This artwork by Xie Zhiliu achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in December 2008. In the Fine Chinese Modern Paintings auction, the work Bird and Peach Blossom sold for HKD 350,000.00 (€ 32,437.68) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 200,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xie Zhiliu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lotus Pond in October 2012 with an auction result of HKD 16,340,000.00 (€ 1,626,686.22).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 75 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Xie Zhiliu erzielte im Dezember 2008 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings wurde die Arbeit Bird and Peach Blossom für HKD 350.000,00 (€ 32.437,68) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 200.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Xie Zhiliu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lotus Pond im Oktober 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 16.340.000,00 (€ 1.626.686,22).
