Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Running Horse by Xu Beihong was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May last year. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 1,800,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 1,890,000.00 (€ 224,383.56). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xu Beihong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Put Down Your Whip in April 2007 with an auction result of HKD 72,000,000.00 (€ 6,741,434.85).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Running Horse von Xu Beihong kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 1.800.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 1.890.000,00 (€ 224.383,56) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Xu Beihong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Put Down Your Whip im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 72.000.000,00 (€ 6.741.434,85).
