In April 2014 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Calligraphy Couplet In Lishu by Yang Xian. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 150,000.00 (€ 13,950.97), 25% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yang Xian - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Twelve-Character Couplet In Clerical Script, which sold at auction in October 2017 for HKD 295,000.00 (€ 32,468.23).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im April 2014 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Lishu von Yang Xian zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 150.000,00 (€ 13.950,97) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Yang Xian mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Twelve-Character Couplet In Clerical Script beobachtet, die im Oktober 2017 für HKD 295.000,00 (€ 32.468,23) versteigert wurde.
