This artwork by Yiannis Gaitis achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Paris in November 2021. In the The Greek Sale auction, the work Figures sur fond noir sold for EUR 8,925.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yiannis Gaitis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Greek Tourists At Cape Sounion in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 84,500.00 (€ 118,321.86).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Yiannis Gaitis erzielte im November 2021 bei Bonhams in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Greek Sale wurde die Arbeit Figures sur fond noir für EUR 8.925,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yiannis Gaitis erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Greek Tourists At Cape Sounion im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 84.500,00 (€ 118.321,86).
