Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2009 Sothebys in London held the auction The Greek Sale, which included the work Greek Composition by Yannis Moralis. The price achieved of GBP 37,250.00 (€ 40,765.32) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yannis Moralis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Romance in November this year with an auction result of EUR 660,800.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2009 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Greek Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Greek Composition von Yannis Moralis zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 37.250,00 (€ 40.765,32) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yannis Moralis erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Romance im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 660.800,00.
