Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Yayoi Kusama could be acquired at Bonhams in August this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Australian and International Art Online auction, the work Pumpkin (Red & Yellow) changed hands for AUD 738.00 (€ 440.39) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of AUD 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yayoi Kusama achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pumpkin in April this year with an auction result of HKD 30,000,000.00 (€ 30,635,869.57).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Yayoi Kusama konnte im August diesen Jahres bei Bonhams für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Australian and International Art Online wechselte die Arbeit Pumpkin (Red & Yellow) für AUD 738,00 (€ 440,39) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von AUD 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yayoi Kusama erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pumpkin im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 30.000.000,00 (€ 30.635.869,57).
