Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bamboo, Orchids, and Rock by Ye Gongchao was auctioned at Christies in New York in September 2016. It changed hands for a price of USD 3,750.00 (€ 3,336.89) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ye Gongchao have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Eighteen-Character Couplet In Running Script in May 2016 with an auction result of HKD 236,000.00 (€ 27,277.23).

Die Arbeit Bamboo, Orchids, and Rock von Ye Gongchao kam im September 2016 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 3.750,00 (€ 3.336,89) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 4.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ye Gongchao auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Eighteen-Character Couplet In Running Script im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 236.000,00 (€ 27.277,23).
