The work Poems In Running Cursive Script Calligraphy by Yi Bingshou was sold in the FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2005. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 132,000.00 (€ 13,746.21), 65% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yi Bingshou achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Poems In Kaishu in April 2015 with an auction result of HKD 3,200,000.00 (€ 369,826.20).
