Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2016 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Modern Paintings, which included the work Five Character Calligraphic Couplet in Cursive Script by Yu Youren. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 150,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 162,500.00 (€ 19,801.71). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yu Youren achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy in Cursive Script in November 2017 with an auction result of HKD 3,820,000.00 (€ 411,280.89).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2016 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Five Character Calligraphic Couplet in Cursive Script von Yu Youren zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 150.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 162.500,00 (€ 19.801,71) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yu Youren erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy in Cursive Script im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.820.000,00 (€ 411.280,89).
