This artwork by Yu Youren achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in December this year. In the Cultured Legacy: Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy from the Chang Shiu Sig and Tung Shui Wah Collection auction, the work Four-character Calligraphy Couplet in Cursive Script sold for HKD 113,400.00 (€ 13,121.68) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 60,000.00.
