Artwork auctioned at 11 times the upper estimate price
When the work Calligraphy in Running-Standard Script by Yun Shouping was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2019, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - HKD 300,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than 11 times as high at HKD 3,485,000.00 (€ 404,195.48). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yun Shouping achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Fragrance of a Nation in Clearing Spring in November 2021 with an auction result of HKD 59,650,000.00 (€ 6,632,475.41).
