Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mère des rêves by Yves Tanguy was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in October 2021. It changed hands for a price of EUR 9,450.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yves Tanguy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work L’Extinction des espèces II in June 2019 with an auction result of GBP 3,131,250.00 (€ 3,519,989.38).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Mère des rêves von Yves Tanguy kam im Oktober 2021 bei Sothebys in Paris zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 9.450,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 7.000,00 – 10.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yves Tanguy erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit L’Extinction des espèces II im Juni 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.131.250,00 (€ 3.519.989,38).
