Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2019 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online, which included the work Calligraphy in Bronze Script by Zeng Xi. It changed hands for a price of HKD 27,500.00 (€ 3,189.49) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zeng Xi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy in October 2019 with an auction result of HKD 375,000.00 (€ 42,861.95).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2019 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy in Bronze Script von Zeng Xi zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 27.500,00 (€ 3.189,49) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zeng Xi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 375.000,00 (€ 42.861,95).
