Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Ancient Temple in Misty Mountain by Zhang Daqian was sold in the Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings auction at Christies in Cologne in May this year. The price achieved of HKD 22,155,000.00 (€ 2,655,522.34) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 15,000,000.00 – 25,000,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhang Daqian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape after Wang Ximeng in April last year with an auction result of HKD 370,495,000.00 (€ 44,795,542.37).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Ancient Temple in Misty Mountain von Zhang Daqian wurde im Mai diesen Jahres in der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings bei Christies in Köln versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 22.155.000,00 (€ 2.655.522,34) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 15.000.000,00 – 25.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhang Daqian erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape after Wang Ximeng im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 370.495.000,00 (€ 44.795.542,37).
