Artwork auctioned at four times the upper estimate price
The work Calligraphy by Zhang Ruitu was worth USD 100,000.00 (€ 86,043.71) to a buyer in September 2018. This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Paintings at Christies in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 25,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhang Ruitu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Eighteen Luohan in September 2016 with an auction result of USD 2,230,000.00 (€ 1,984,338.85).

Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Christies in New York erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von USD 25.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhang Ruitu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Eighteen Luohan im September 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.230.000,00 (€ 1.984.338,85).
