Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Two Tigers by Zhang Shanzi was auctioned at Bonhams in Hong Kong in March last year. The price achieved of HKD 35,700.00 (€ 4,109.70) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhang Shanzi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Prowling Tiger in November 2011 with an auction result of HKD 4,220,000.00 (€ 403,712.18).
