It achieved a price of USD 17,500.00 (€ 15,572.17), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 46%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhang Shuqi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Doves and Flowers in June 2015 with an auction result of HKD 5,080,000.00 (€ 587,520.17).

Die Arbeit Birds on Branch von Zhang Shuqi kam im September 2016 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 17.500,00 (€ 15.572,17) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 46%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhang Shuqi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Doves and Flowers im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.080.000,00 (€ 587.520,17).
