Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2016 POLY in Hong Kong held the auction Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Album Of Han Yu's Poems In Running Script Calligraphy by Zhang Wentao. The price achieved of HKD 70,800.00 (€ 7,976.68) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Zhang Wentao have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy in April 2014 with an auction result of HKD 483,000.00 (€ 44,922.13).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2016 führte POLY in Hong Kong die Auktion Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Album Of Han Yu's Poems In Running Script Calligraphy von Zhang Wentao zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 70.800,00 (€ 7.976,68) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhang Wentao auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 483.000,00 (€ 44.922,13).
