This artwork by Zhang Zhiwan achieved an unexpectedly high price at POLY in Hong Kong in April 2016. In the Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Rowing Boat sold for HKD 70,800.00 (€ 7,976.68) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zhang Zhiwan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscape, which sold at auction in September 2012 for USD 25,000.00 (€ 19,446.17).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zhang Zhiwan erzielte im April 2016 bei POLY in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Rowing Boat für HKD 70.800,00 (€ 7.976,68) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 30.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Zhang Zhiwan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Landscape beobachtet, die im September 2012 für USD 25.000,00 (€ 19.446,17) versteigert wurde.
