Auction result well in line with expectations
In May this year Christies in Cologne held the auction Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings, which included the work Birds, Snail and Butterfly by Zhao Shao'Ang. It changed hands for a price of HKD 75,600.00 (€ 9,061.50) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhao Shao'Ang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work White Peacock And Red Persimmon in May 2019 with an auction result of HKD 8,045,000.00 (€ 920,748.05).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Christies in Köln die Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Birds, Snail and Butterfly von Zhao Shao'Ang zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 75.600,00 (€ 9.061,50) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhao Shao'Ang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit White Peacock And Red Persimmon im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 8.045.000,00 (€ 920.748,05).
