A top price for Zhao Shuru
This artwork by Zhao Shuru achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2018. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Cranes At Sunrise sold for HKD 475,000.00 (€ 53,485.70) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 250,000.00. This high result makes Cranes At Sunrise the most expensive artwork by Zhao Shuru that we have observed at auctions so far.
