Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of USD 80,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 87,500.00 (€ 76,821.77). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zheng Xie achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bamboo And Rock in September 2014 with an auction result of USD 2,629,000.00 (€ 2,081,881.53).

Die Arbeit Tang And Song Dynasties' Poems In Running Script von Zheng Xie kam im März 2016 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 80.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 87.500,00 (€ 76.821,77) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zheng Xie erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bamboo And Rock im September 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.629.000,00 (€ 2.081.881,53).
