My photographs speak of reduction, depth, and lightness at the same time—sometimes with quiet irony, sometimes with silent force.

I believe that photography can give us one of the greatest pleasures that art has to offer: surprise, wonder, recognition, and smiles. These are precisely the four moments I seek in each of my pictures—whether in a minimalist city scene, a tranquil landscape, or the face of someone I encounter. My work should be enjoyable, appear light, and yet possess a depth that cannot be explained immediately, but rather felt.
My approach is always the same: timeless, clear, modern in form and classic in expression – and completely free of photographic fads. I want to create spaces that inspire calm, concentration and sometimes even quiet wonder. Many of my collectors say that my photographs are like “windows” for them: into an atmosphere, a mood, an inner place.
When I photograph people, I always do so with respect, genuine closeness, and sympathy. I believe that dignity and trust become visible—and that this is precisely what makes a good portrait. This human touch is also noticeable in my minimalist series such as berlin minimal or hamburg minimal: through the way cities breathe, the way light falls, the way structures appear.
Ultimately, I hope that my pictures are not only viewed, but inhabited – as companions in everyday life, as a place of calm, as inspiration. Art should touch people, bring joy, and reveal a small moment of the world that would otherwise pass by unnoticed.
