“Rather than simply creating paintings, Evi Schartner creates spaces of calm.”

Evi Schartner is an Austrian artist whose work offers a quiet refuge from the pace of modern life. Through delicate layers, subtle tonal transitions, and a refined visual language, she creates paintings that invite stillness, contemplation, and emotional balance.
Working exclusively with watercolor on handmade paper, Schartner embraces the medium’s unpredictability while allowing silence to become part of the creative process. Her compositions are intentionally reduced to their essence, creating space to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with what truly matters.
Her work has been exhibited internationally, including in London, Shanghai, Busan, Miami, Los Angeles, New York, Beijing, Vienna, and Genoa. As an Artist in Residence at Red Gate Gallery in Beijing, supported by the Austrian Federal Ministry for Arts and Culture, she further developed her distinctive artistic voice.
Rather than simply creating paintings, Schartner creates spaces of calm. Her works are collected by people who seek more than decoration—they seek an atmosphere of peace, quiet, and timeless beauty within their homes.
