Pure dynamics and energy
The high-contrast, black and white paintings by Fabian Eichstaedt have a highly dynamic effect. Informal works made of wall paint, boat paint and latex on multiplex or MDF boards. Eichstaedt does not plan the content of the picture in advance; when he begins a new work, he does not yet know what it will lead to. The pictures are created spontaneously. from movement, and are formed successively from numerous small processing steps. The workpiece lies on the floor, is turned again and again, worked on alternately from different sides, so that sometimes not even the orientation of the picture is fixed - often a work allows different paths of orientation.
And yet the compositions are anything but arbitrary, always forming a stringent pictorial structure. All the works are highly energetic and seem to be full of movement. At times, everything explodes out of the center, as if after a big bang, then again the image seems to shimmer like a swarm of confused insects. Each work thus offers an inexhaustible repository of possible associations, and allows the viewer not only to marvel at the effect, but also to explore their own interpretation.

Mysterious Ghosts
In Fabian Eichstaedt's works, nothing seems fixed – and yet everything appears to be precisely set. His striking paintings in strict black and white arise purely from the gesture, without reference or motif, but they still seem full of meaning. Free compositions with a hidden principle, a playing field of energy and structure that wants to be explored.

Geheimnisvolle Gespenster
