Everything changes. Big things and small things. All the time. Some changes happen suddenly, and some we choose ourselves. Every change needs courage — the courage to face something new. You never know if a change will be good, and that can feel scary. But not changing means staying stuck, and that can be even worse.

So things have to change for something to work, to stay alive, to grow, and to create something new. It doesn’t have to be big, dramatic steps. Small changes are enough. They inspire us and slowly lead to new ideas and creative processes.

These small changes give us time to think about whether we like the direction we are going and what we want to do next. Change is quiet and gentle. It is about slowly trying new things and finding balance.

This idea of slow, continuous change is also important in my art and design work. I focus on step-by-step transformation — how one image can turn into many new things, and how every change leads to the next one.
