Painting is movement
In my work I primarily use the formal language of nature and the characteristics of my material. In doing so, I develope my pictorial worlds associatively, layer by layer.
By "working form the gut", usually without much preparation, my paintings are invariably also personal witnesses of a given time. They translate a small section of perpetual mental and physical movement into pictorial form, into colour and gesture.
