My view of time and places

I am  a collector of random impressions and experiences, which I process in my pictures. Thus, parallels, contradictions, and overlaps of a globalized society become visible in my work. And at first glance, my pictures appear just as confusing and complex as these contemporary trends. Light, lines, foreground and background slide over or into each other. Motifs disintegrate and dissolve, only to reappear powerfully elsewhere. Representationalism and abstraction alternate and are often interrupted by lines that mark transitions and keep the situations in limbo. In this ambiguity lies the typical, but hardly definable nature of the trends of our time.
