About

Petra Rader was born in 1966 in Salzburg, Austria. After graduating from university courses focussing on foreign languages, she worked in private industry. 

After having given birth to a son with severe and multiple disabilities in 2000, her focus was on care and nursing for the following years.

After having moved to upper Austria, Petra Rader for the first time got in touch with painting in 2012, when she attended an art course held by her later mentor.

During a 5 year's education from 2013 until 2017 at the privately run Leonardo Art Academy in Mattsee, Salzburg, she evolved her figurative approach and deepened her expressive techniqe. 

Her main interest is in people and her pictures often tell also of her own life and desires and what touches her. Meanwhile, Petra Rader has participated in numerous national and international exhibitions.
