Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work The Old House by Aaron Bohrod was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2008, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 4,063.00 (€ 2,570.71). Admittedly, works by Aaron Bohrod have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Street Car Riders in May 2021 with an auction result of USD 27,812.50 (€ 22,808.35).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit The Old House von Aaron Bohrod im März 2008 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 4.063,00 (€ 2.570,71) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Aaron Bohrod auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Street Car Riders im Mai 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 27.812,50 (€ 22.808,35).
