Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2010 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Contemporary Art, which included the work La Marche by Abdallah Benanteur. The price achieved of EUR 1,845.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Abdallah Benanteur achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Des Pots et des Bouteilles in October 2008 with an auction result of USD 116,500.00 (€ 91,862.48).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2010 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit La Marche von Abdallah Benanteur zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.845,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Abdallah Benanteur erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Des Pots et des Bouteilles im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 116.500,00 (€ 91.862,48).
