Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A river landscape; and A coastal landscape by Abel Grimmer was sold in the Old Masters Evening Sale auction at Christies in London in December 2016. It changed hands for a price of GBP 75,000.00 (€ 87,687.17) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Abel Grimmer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dix mois de l'année in November last year with an auction result of EUR 1,538,400.00.

Die Arbeit A river landscape; and A coastal landscape von Abel Grimmer wurde im Dezember 2016 in der Auktion Old Masters Evening Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 75.000,00 (€ 87.687,17) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Abel Grimmer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dix mois de l'année im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 1.538.400,00.
