Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2000 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Pictures, which included the work A wooded landscape with a peasant before a cottage by Abraham Hulk Jnr.. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 446.50 (€ 716.47) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Abraham Hulk Jnr. have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work View of Albury Heath, Surrey in September 2000 with an auction result of GBP 3,055.00 (€ 5,111.95).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2000 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Continental Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit A wooded landscape with a peasant before a cottage von Abraham Hulk Jnr. zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 446,50 (€ 716,47) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Abraham Hulk Jnr. auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit View of Albury Heath, Surrey im September 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.055,00 (€ 5.111,95).
