Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2011 a collector was able to acquire the work An Italianate Landscape With Cattle Fording A Stream By A Ruin by Abraham Jansz. Begeyn for USD 7,500.00 (€ 5,164.22). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master Paintings at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Abraham Jansz. Begeyn have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Nature morte aux chardons et aux papillons in March 2015 with an auction result of EUR 27,500.00.

Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Master Paintings bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Abraham Jansz.
