Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2012 Christies in Dubai held the auction Modern and Contemporary Arab, Iranian and Turkish Art Part I, which included the work Qammar Azzaman by Adel El Siwi. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 45,000.00 (€ 34,727.58) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Adel El Siwi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Red & The Blue, which sold at auction in April 2012 for USD 158,500.00 (€ 119,812.53).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2012 führte Christies in Dubai die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Arab, Iranian and Turkish Art Part I durch, in der auch die Arbeit Qammar Azzaman von Adel El Siwi zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 45.000,00 (€ 34.727,58) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Adel El Siwi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Red & The Blue beobachtet, die im April 2012 für USD 158.500,00 (€ 119.812,53) versteigert wurde.
