Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Afro achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Paris in June this year. In the Centuries of Beauty - A Refined Private Collection auction, the work Natura morta con fruttiera sold for EUR 15,120.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Afro achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Porta Portese in November 2012 with an auction result of USD 938,500.00 (€ 721,368.18).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Afro erzielte im Juni diesen Jahres bei Christies in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Centuries of Beauty - A Refined Private Collection wurde die Arbeit Natura morta con fruttiera für EUR 15.120,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Afro erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Porta Portese im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 938.500,00 (€ 721.368,18).
