Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Agostino Carracci could be acquired at Christies in London in July 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Master Prints auction, the work Portrait of Giovanni Gabrielli, called "Il Sivello" changed hands for GBP 500.00 (€ 557.71) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Agostino Carracci achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of Olimpia Luna As Judith And Melchiorre Zoppio As Holofernes in January 2014 with an auction result of USD 869,000.00 (€ 643,703.70).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Agostino Carracci konnte im Juli 2020 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Old Master Prints wechselte die Arbeit Portrait of Giovanni Gabrielli, called "Il Sivello" für GBP 500,00 (€ 557,71) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 700,00 – 1.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Agostino Carracci erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait Of Olimpia Luna As Judith And Melchiorre Zoppio As Holofernes im Januar 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 869.000,00 (€ 643.703,70).
