In October 2011 Christies in Dubai held the auction Modern and Contemporary Arab, Iranian and Turkish ArtPart II, which included the work Kissing by Ahmed Al-Askalany. The »bidding war« ended at USD 68,500.00 (€ 49,114.50), 71% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Ahmed Al-Askalany; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Thinker sold at auction in April 2011 with the realized price of USD 116,500.00 (€ 78,604.68).

Im Oktober 2011 führte Christies in Dubai die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Arab, Iranian and Turkish ArtPart II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Kissing von Ahmed Al-Askalany zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 68.500,00 (€ 49.114,50) und damit 71% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Ahmed Al-Askalany; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Thinker im April 2011 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 116.500,00 (€ 78.604,68).
