In April 2010 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Art/Turkish, which included the work Rustem Pasa Camii (Rustem Pasa Mosque) by Ahmet Elhan. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 10,625.00 (€ 12,227.30), 33% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Ahmet Elhan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Eski Camii III (Old mosque III) in October 2011 with an auction result of USD 80,500.00 (€ 57,718.51).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 33 % übertroffen
Im April 2010 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary Art/Turkish durch, in der auch die Arbeit Rustem Pasa Camii (Rustem Pasa Mosque) von Ahmet Elhan zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 10.625,00 (€ 12.227,30) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ahmet Elhan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Eski Camii III (Old mosque III) im Oktober 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 80.500,00 (€ 57.718,51).
